Dscoopers Lindsay Nutley and Laurensius Candra, along with their respective teams at QLM Label Makers and PT Bintang Sempurna, won Asian Innovation Print Awards (IPA) in Singapore.
The annual Asian Print Awards is part of Print Innovation Asia, the voice of print and packaging in Asia. Winners receive Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for their print work, judged anonymously by an expert panel of industry judges. It's the only regional print-quality competition of its kind in Asia.
Lindsay, Director of Marketing at QLM Label Makers, celebrated four IPA awards -- three for the Hoàng Hà Label Co., Ltd. / QLM Label Makers Vietnam team, and one for the QLM Label Makers Malaysia team. The Vietnam team won Gold for Digital Labels (printed on an HP Indigo), a Silver for Offset Packaging Products and a Bronze for Digital Packaging (printed on an HP Indigo). The Malaysia team won a Silver for Digital Labels (printed on an HP Indigo).
Lindsay is responsible for pleasing two kinds of customers — external ones who want their labels to "come alive," as he puts it, and internal employees who need to be able to articulate the company's brand and messaging. He breaks down his approach in this "Unvarnished" episode. QLM Labels started in a family garage in 1973 and has grown to become one of Asia-Pacific’s most dynamic and innovative label and packaging providers.
Laurensius Candra is CEO of PT Bintang Sempurna, one of the most reputed printing companies in Indonesia, and a member of the Dscoop APJ Board who has been instrumental to the success of several recent APJ events. He joined the family owned business in 2004 and has since transformed it into an innovative, creative firm with phenomenal growth.
The Indonesia location of PT Bintang Sempurna won two IPA awards — one in the Limited Editions & Artwork Reproductions Digital (Under 500 Print Run) category, and one in the Digital - Best Use of Color category.
Congratulations to these amazing Dscoopers!
