Keynotes of Vision and Grit
Louis Francis, Founder & Director of Photo Park and Xpress labels, opened the event by sharing his journey that now includes running multi-location digital operations built through risk-taking, reinvention and sheer grit — a story made even more inspiring as the next generation now carries the company forward.
He was followed by Vistaprint India’s Plant Head, Anuj Chitale, who offered a rare inside look at VistaPrint’s strategy for scaling print-on-demand across India. His keynote marked the first time the company publicly shared its roadmap with the Indian print community, underscoring a commitment to making high-quality print accessible to everyone and signaling exciting momentum ahead for the region.
Educational Sessions: Technology, Policy and Entrepreneurship
Sridhar Ranganathan, Design Director at Adobe India, led a hands-on session on AI and automation. He demonstrated how generative AI and Adobe tools can transform photo editing, and packaging product design — tasks that once took hours now completed in seconds. His emphasis on prompt engineering and tool mastery was an eye-opener for entrepreneurs.
Dr. Rajendra Sinha delivered a comprehensive overview of MSME schemes and government incentives for digital printers and packaging businesses. From collateral-free loans to tax benefits and design expertise programs, his session empowered attendees to tap into available resources and stay updated with evolving policies.
Praveen H.J., CEO of Coffee Board India, shared success stories of startups leveraging HP Indigo technology to elevate their packaging and market presence.
His talk was followed by an inspiring segment from Kuldeep Choudhary, Founder of Amyra Farms, who recounted his entrepreneurial journey and how digital printing helped turn his vision into reality. His passion and commitment for the business was inspiring for many in the audience.
The final session of the conference focused on one of the most critical aspects of scaling — team management. Led by Ashok Pawar of HP India, the panel featured Priyesh Dalmia (Spectalpack), Kultar Singh (Canvera) and Anuj (VistaPrint). All three leaders emphasized empathetic leadership, performance-driven culture and the importance of aligning teams with business goals.
“I want to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone at Dscoop for a wonderful and insightful experience. The event was exceptionally well-organized and impactful," said new Dscooper Raja Sekar of Shutter Photography.
Site Visits: Learning from the Ground Up
One of Dscoop’s most unique offerings is the opportunity to visit peer factories — an experience rarely available in the industry.
At Spectal Pack, founders Priyesh Dalmia and Aman Bachhawat shared their transition from conventional to digital packaging. Guests toured the flexible packaging section, witnessing the HP Indigo 25K in action along with advanced finishing equipment.
At Canvera, Kultar Singh guided attendees through the photobook production process, showcasing the precision and passion behind their commercial offerings. His openness and detailed explanations made the visit a rich learning experience.
"I am into photobook making, and for me Canvera is a benchmark in our industry, and we always visualize to achieve the high standard they have set," said attendee Mahadevan Krishnan of Savithri Digital Print Press.
