The Art of Growth: My Unforgettable Experience at Dscoop Edge Slovenia
When I first envisioned attending Dscoop Edge Slovenia in Ljubljana, my goal was clear: I wanted to immerse myself in the cutting edge of digital print workflows, color management, and production automation. As a professional passionate about printing industry, there is no better playground to see where technology meets strategy. However, the experience became infinitely more profound when I received a prestigious global grant from the Foundation for Graphic Communication Education (FGCE) and Dscoop, recognizing me as an emerging leader driving print and graphic communication innovation.
Stepping into the GR - Ljubljana Conference, I knew I was part of something monumental. The event kicked off perfectly with the First-Time Attendee Huddle, a high-energy session that instantly shattered any initial intimidation. It introduced us to the unique "Dscoop spirit" of open collaboration and set the stage for the rest of the conference. Another major catalyst for my thought process was the Morning Keynote with Erin Meyer, centered on cross cultural leadership and collaboration. Listening to her analyze how diverse global teams communicate was an eye-opener. It made me realize that driving innovation in print manufacturing isn’t just about upgrading software or deploying faster presses—it's about how effectively we align human culture, communication, and shared knowledge across global boundaries.
Taking the Stage: The Young Talent Perspectives Panel
The true pinnacle of my time in Ljubljana was being invited as an international panellist for the Young Talent Perspectives session.
Standing before an audience of seasoned print executives, global innovators, and industry leaders to share my insights was both an Honor and an immense responsibility. Our panel dove deep into the rapidly changing landscape of the printing industry— specifically looking at how the next generation views the intersection of print, advanced digital tools, and production automation. I had the opportunity to speak on the critical importance of bridging the gap between emerging automated workflows and day-to-day production realities. We also tackled the crucial topic of evolving company cultures, exploring how modern print environments must adapt to foster agility, cross-cultural collaboration, and continuous tech adoption to attract and empower new talent. Looking ahead, we discussed the future roles emerging within the industry and the incredible technical and strategic opportunities waiting for those ready to embrace automated manufacturing.
The sheer diversity of perspectives was staggering, and my LinkedIn feed has been absolutely buzzing since, filled with valuable global connections and mentors who are actively shaping the future of our industry.
Gamifying the Floor: The Partner Passport Challenge
To cap off an already incredible event, I fully threw myself into the Partner Passport challenge on the exhibition floor. I absolutely loved this concept—it turned the Solutions Showcase into a massive, interactive masterclass. I made it my mission to visit every single booth, engaging directly with technical experts, exploring the latest hp presess and discussing automated job workflows. I successfully pushed through every level of the passport program, and my dedication paid off in the best way possible: I walked away with a Golden Ticket to the next international Dscoop conference!
Leaving Ljubljana, I feel incredibly re-energized. I’m walking away not just with a notebook full of actionable manufacturing strategies, but with a worldwide network of peers and friends. Thank you to Dscoop and the FGCE for this incredible honor. I can't wait to redeem my Golden Ticket at the next Edge!
