When hundreds of print service providers and software partners descended on Dscoop Edge Rockies last month, nobody quite knew what to expect from the AI Automation Hack-A-Thon. What they got was a sold-out room, a live demonstration of what connected print ecosystems can actually look like, and the spark that lit something bigger.
The result is the Dscoop Automation Club, or DAC, and it is open for business.
Officially launching off the back of that March Edge Rockies momentum, the DAC is a focused, integration-driven community built for print service providers and partners who are serious about automation, AI, and growth within the HP PrintOS ecosystem. Its mission is straightforward: deliver process automation and AI as a sustainable competitive advantage for Dscoop members.
"At HP, we believe that integration is the foundation of automation," said Bob Raus of HP. "This club will accelerate the learning and adoption of automation tools, AI and more."
The idea behind the DAC is simple but powerful. When PSPs, HP, and software partners work together inside a shared ecosystem, problems get solved faster. A PSP needing to connect PrintIQ to an Infigo storefront doesn't have to start from zero. Inside the DAC, that's likely a challenge someone has already cracked. Add PrintOS SiteFlow into the mix, and three or more platforms start talking to each other. Add robotics and emerging innovations, and the possibilities expand further still.
It is not starting from scratch either. HP has already invested millions in building the connective tissue that makes this possible, with over a dozen freely available PrintOS APIs and SDKs available to Dscoop members today. The DAC is the community layer that brings people together to actually use them.
"The new Dscoop Automation Club provides a platform for learning, sharing and collaboration between HP, Dscoop members and the print industry's leading software and hardware partners," said Peter van Teeseling.
Membership is free and open now. Those who attended the Edge Hack-A-Thons, exhibited at Dscoop Edge Rockies, or operate as software partners within the Dscoop space are encouraged to join. The first wave of members will hold Founding Member status, and key partners are already being approached directly.
The DAC kicks off with its first live webinar on 23rd April at 11 am EST, where the team will reflect on the Hack-A-Thon, formally introduce the community, and set out what is coming in Q2 and beyond.
It started in the Rockies. Now it is just getting started.
