From 27–29 August 2026, the Dscoop community came together in Ho Chi Minh City for Vietnam Summit 2026: The Next Move for Print Leaders. Print service providers, industry experts, brands, HP and Solution Partners from across Asia Pacific and beyond went inside real print businesses, explored AI, automation, branding, personalisation and finishing, celebrated outstanding print from across APJ and experienced Vietnam together.
DAY 1 | Learning Where Print Happens
Vietnam Summit began on the production floor. More than 80 attendees joined two site visits, stepping inside Vietnamese print businesses to see production firsthand and exchange ideas directly with fellow printers.
Inside Visingpack Packaging Industries
One group visited Visingpack Packaging Industries, exploring its folding carton production environment and approach to packaging manufacturing. The value went beyond seeing equipment: printers compared processes, applications and production challenges with other printers.
A huge thank you to Visingpack for opening its doors and sharing its operation so generously with our community.
Inside QLM – Hoàng Hà Label
The second group visited QLM – Hoàng Hà Label, exploring its labels and packaging operation, capabilities and applications. QLM also played a much bigger role throughout Vietnam Summit as our Hosting Partner.
Opening a working production facility to fellow printers takes preparation and trust. We are incredibly grateful to both hosts for making these experiences possible. Printers learning from printers is what Dscoop is all about.
From Print to Gin
After the site visits, we swapped production floors for something rather different. The community travelled to Lady Trieu Distillery in Cu Chi for a distillery experience and dinner.
For many attendees, this was the first opportunity to properly meet, relax and connect. There were introductions, new friendships, plenty of laughter and, naturally, some gin.
DAY 2 | The Next Move for Print Leaders
Friday brought the community together at Holiday Inn & Suites Saigon Airport for the main Summit. The programme looked beyond presses and technology to a bigger question: What should print leaders be thinking about next?
State of the Industry | Yoav Lotan, HP
Yoav Lotan opened by sharing HP’s perspective on the changes shaping print, the opportunities ahead and how PSPs can continue to adapt and find new areas of growth.
From Vision to Shelf | Vincent Mourou + Joshua Breidenbach
Vincent Mourou, Co-Founder of Marou – Faiseurs de Chocolat, and Joshua Breidenbach of Base Design, moderated by Lindsay Nutley, took the community into the world of the brand with "From Vision to Shelf." The conversation explored how an idea becomes a brand, how design and packaging build its identity, and how the physical product reaches the consumer. For PSPs, it offered a valuable opportunity to consider print from the other side of the table: What does the brand actually need?
Too Fast to Predict: AI Workshop | Freddy Lim
Freddy Lim took the room into the rapidly evolving world of AI with "Too Fast to Predict & AI Workshop." The session connected AI with real PSP challenges including production scheduling, estimating and quotations, sales and CRM, customer service, marketing, data-driven decisions, governance and security. Rather than waiting for AI to become “finished”, attendees were encouraged to identify practical problems where it can already help their businesses.
Technology Meets Practical Application
Our Solution Partners also brought emerging technology and practical applications to the stage.
Esko | AI, Automation and the Future of Packaging
Premium Solution Partner Esko explored how AI, connected workflows and cloud-based technology are changing packaging production, helping businesses automate repetitive work, improve consistency and respond faster.
XMPie | The Next Generation of Personalisation
Premium Solution Partner XMPie explored how data, technology and print can create more relevant personalised experiences. XMPie also powered the digital voting experience for the HP Presstige People’s Choice Awards.
Duplo | Smarter Finishing
Duplo explored smart finishing and automation, showing how finishing can become part of an integrated digital print workflow rather than simply the final production step.
From Print Supplier to Strategic Partner | Niranjan Aluwihare, r-pac Vietnam
Niranjan Aluwihare of r-pac Vietnam, joined by Denver Annunciation, brought the brand and supply-chain perspective to the Summit.
The conversation challenged PSPs to start with the brand’s business challenge, not the press, exploring agility, sustainability, compliance and the evolution of converters from print suppliers into strategic supply-chain partners.
Zero Blind Spot | Dennis Choo, HP
Dennis Choo of HP closed the business programme with Zero Blind Spot, challenging print leaders to look beyond equipment and think more deeply about the business decisions that should come before the next investment.
Our Solution Partners
Vietnam Summit would not have been possible without our Solution Partners.
Our Premium Solution Partners Esko, XMPie and Duplo, were joined by Themecoat, Graymills, EF Cooling, HYBRID Software and Martin Automatic. Their support and expertise gave attendees opportunities to discover new technologies, ask questions and explore ideas relevant to their own businesses. Thank you to every Solution Partner who supported Vietnam Summit 2026.
HP Presstige Awards 2026 | Print Takes Centre Stage
After a full day looking ahead, Friday evening celebrated what the APJ print community is already creating.
The newly revamped HP Presstige Awards 2026, presented by Dscoop attracted 200+ entries from 61 companies across 12 countries, spanning 17 subcategories across Commercial Print, Labels & Packaging, Sustainability, and Innovation, Self-Promotion & Limited Editions.
The work demonstrated the extraordinary diversity of digital print across APJ, from labels and packaging to commercial applications, sustainable solutions, limited editions and highly creative projects.
A New People’s Choice Experience
This year, the community also became part of the experience through the People’s Choice Showcase.
Physical samples were displayed throughout the Summit, allowing attendees to see, touch and discuss the work before using the XMPie-powered QR voting experience to choose their favourites. Seven People’s Choice Awards were presented that evening.
At the Awards Dinner, Winners and Awards for Excellence were recognised alongside Special Recognitions for particularly distinctive work. But the evening was about more than trophies. It celebrated the designers, operators, production teams and businesses behind the work. QLM – Hoàng Hà Label also brought Vietnamese culture to the stage with beautiful performances that made the evening unmistakably Vietnam. There were trophies, celebrations, a lot of photographs and some very proud teams.
DAY 3 | Discovering Saigon Together
Saturday had a deliberately different rhythm. Attendees could explore Ho Chi Minh City through the Street Secrets walking experience, discover local products and makers through Shop Local, or jump onto the back of scooters for the Night Kiss Food Tour.
It was relaxed, slightly chaotic, delicious and a pretty good way to finish three days together.
More Than a Conference
When we look back at Vietnam Summit, the sessions, technology, site visits and awards matter. But so do the moments between them.
A printer from Thailand talking to someone from Australia. Someone from India sharing an idea with someone from Vietnam. First-time attendees meeting long-time Dscoop members. People comparing samples, exchanging contacts and continuing conversations long after sessions ended.
That is the part of Dscoop that is difficult to put on an agenda. And it is exactly why this community exists.
And One Little Turtle …
If you attended Vietnam Summit, you probably met Tung.
The idea of creating a Summit mascot came from APJ Committee member Lindsay Nutley, and what started as a fun idea quickly became part of the event’s personality.
In Vietnamese culture and mythology, the turtle is associated with longevity, wisdom, stability and protection, fitting for an industry built on long-standing businesses, shared knowledge and constant adaptation.
Tung appeared on our slides, signs, buses, tours and social activities. By the end, we’re fairly sure Tung attended more of the Summit than some of us did.
Thank You, Vietnam
Vietnam Summit 2026 was created by many hands. Thank you to our speakers, Solution Partners, site-visit hosts, HP, the Dscoop APJ Committee, volunteers and everyone working behind the scenes.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who travelled to Ho Chi Minh City and became part of it. You asked questions, shared what you knew, brought your work, made new connections and made the Summit what it was.
