Mental-Wellness Movement Continues to Grow

The She*t for Brains movement was started by (from left in the video) Jon Bailey of Precision Proco, Chris Minn of Digital Ink, David Rosendahl of MindFire Inc. and Jessica DeCola of GPA. The four leaders wanted to address mental health challenges within the print industry, and worked together create a supportive community that fosters open discussions among professionals.

The mission of Shet for Brains is to make conversations about stress, burnout, pressure and emotional well-being feel normal. By using a name that’s light, witty and unmistakably “print,” the group removes the heaviness and formality that often keep people from opening up. Through its LinkedIn community and related social channels, Shet for Brains gives everyone in the print industry a place to talk honestly. It’s a peer-led safe space where the tone is human, supportive and grounded in shared experience.

The group amplifies resources, personal stories and practical ideas for protecting well-being in a high-pressure environment. For an industry that prides itself on resilience and craftsmanship, She*t for Brains offers something equally vital: a community that values psychological safety, empathy and healthy ways to live.
