TRANSCRIPT

Laurensius Chandra, CEO of Bintang Sempurna in Indonesia and Dscoop's 2026 APJ board chair, shares that the Dscoop community has become a meaningful part of his life because it feels like a second family.

For him, the value comes from building healthy relationships with peers around the world who are in the same industry, facing many of the same challenges. That shared understanding creates a natural environment for support, learning and growth together. He sees the community as a place where people help each other move forward, not just in business but in mindset and connection.

In this video, Laurensius explains that his journey into Dscoop started eight or nine years ago when a close friend introduced him to the group. At the beginning, he didn’t know what to expect and felt nervous and unsure. Over time, he noticed how connected members were to each other and how willing they were to support one another. That spirit made him increasingly interested and led him to become more involved in events and community activities.

As he built relationships with printers globally, Laurensius began to see direct impact on his business. He describes how the knowledge-sharing within the community helped him evolve from a more traditional, manual way of running a print business toward a more professional approach. Through others in the Dscoop global community, he learned about better workflow practices, automation and modern ways of managing operations. He credits that exposure with influencing the direction and growth of his company over time.

Laurensius also highlights the personal growth he experienced through the community. He describes himself as naturally shy and introverted and says being part of Dscoop gave him opportunities to speak up, build confidence and mature as a leader. He’s especially encouraged by the energy of younger printers entering the Asia-Pacific community in recent years and believes their enthusiasm strengthens the future of the group.

His encourages others to become part of a community that grows together.
