TRANSCRIPT

When customers come to Nova Brand Projection, they're usually not looking for someone to design a new logo. They're looking for a partner who can help their existing brand show up consistently and confidently everywhere it appears. That's the role Sarah Gossett and her team embrace every day.

During a conversation with Deborah Corn at Edge Rockies, Sarah explained how Nova helps organizations extend their brands across print, apparel, promotional products and retail environments while maintaining a consistent brand experience.

That consultative approach has become one of Nova's biggest differentiators. Rather than simply producing what customers request, Nova's president and CEO said her team often serves as an extension of a client's marketing department, advising on everything from color consistency to the best ways to present a brand across multiple applications. Trust is central to those relationships, she said, and HP's digital printing technology helps Nova deliver the consistency customers expect across offset, digital and wide-format output.

Sarah's own career reflects the value of learning every part of the business. She joined what was then H&W Printing 17 years ago as the owner's assistant, worked her way through multiple departments, became president and eventually purchased the company when the previous owner decided to sell. That journey, she said, required confidence, humility and a willingness to admit what she didn't yet know while continually expanding her knowledge of the business.

As one of the industry's growing number of female leaders, Sarah also spoke candidly about earning credibility in a traditionally male-dominated field. Building trust with employees, customers and industry peers took time, she said, but the experiences she gained along the way ultimately became strengths she now shares with other women entering leadership roles. She encouraged the next generation to step forward, tell their stories and recognize the value they bring to the industry.

Looking back, Sarah believes the print industry offers tremendous opportunities for leaders who combine technical knowledge with a genuine commitment to helping customers succeed. Whether she's guiding a brand refresh, ensuring consistent output across applications or mentoring future leaders, her focus remains the same: building lasting relationships grounded in trust, expertise and a shared commitment to helping brands make a stronger impression.
