TRANSCRIPT

Print has plenty of consultants. What it needs more of, according to Colin Sinclair McDermott, are coaches.

“Consultants tell you what to do. Coaches teach you how to do it,” said Colin, known as the Online Print Coach. “The problem in print is not that people don’t want to change — it’s that no one is showing them how to change.”

Through training, one-on-one mentoring, and real talk about pricing, process and customer experience, Colin is helping print owners strengthen their businesses. He’s based in the U.K. but works globally, with a clear mission: to help small- to mid-size printers build a model that’s profitable, modern and sustainable.

His insights and energy come through in his "Road to Dscoop" conversation with Deborah Corn. Whether he’s sharing stories of helping a print owner go from 4-day burnout weeks to streamlined operations — or explaining how to shift pricing psychology — Colin offers practical steps that make growth feel doable.

“I don't sell magic bullets. But I do help people find momentum,” he said.
