Finishing at the Core of GM's Evolution

At Edge Slovenia, Jos Kabouw of GM sits down with longtime Dscooper and Print Island Media co-founder Richard Askam for a fast-moving look at how the Danish company has evolved. GM has expanded into highly specialized areas such as technology for flexible solar cells, fuel cells and battery cells, but Jos is clear about the foundation underneath that growth: "Our core business and our core knowledge is finishing equipment."

GM's finishing portfolio continues to evolve alongside HP Indigo technology. Jos highlights GM solutions spanning multiple widths and applications, including equipment designed to work with the HP Indigo V12 and 200K. He also points to a high-speed single-anvil die-cutting solution capable of running inline with the V12, illustrating how GM is developing finishing technology to keep pace as digital production gets faster.

Jos brings plenty of Dscoop history to the conversation himself, estimating that he's attended 10 to 12 Dscoop events around the world, first during his time with HP and later with GM.
