Celebrating the best of digital print across APJ
September 17, 2026More than 200 entries, 17 subcategories and print work from across Asia Pacific and Japan came together for the first HP Presstige Awards 2026 , celebrating not only outstanding print, but the ideas, expertise and people behind it.
When the HP Presstige Awards launched in APJ in May 2026, there was one simple ambition: to create a platform where great print could be recognised, shared and experienced by the wider community.
The response went well beyond expectations. More than 200 entries were submitted, online and in person, showcasing the breadth of work being produced by HP Indigo and HP PageWide print businesses across the region.
From books, photobooks and collectibles to labels, flexible packaging, folding cartons, limited editions and highly creative applications, the entries demonstrated just how far digital print continues to evolve.
But the Awards were designed to be about more than selecting winners.
Recognising the Ideas Behind Great Print
The HP Presstige Awards celebrated work across 17 subcategories within four main award areas: Commercial Print; Labels & Packaging; Sustainability; and Innovation, Self-Promotion & Limited Editions.
Entries were evaluated not only for visual impact, but also for creativity, technical execution, commercial and marketing impact, suitability for purpose, and innovative use of inks, media, substrates, finishing and embellishment.

Behind every entry was a printer making decisions, experimenting, solving problems and turning an idea into something physical.
The programme itself was developed through close collaboration between Miin Wong from HP and Amy Yu, Dscoop Community Success Manager for APJ, Dscoop members and industry partners across the region.
From Entries to a Gallery of Ideas
One of the most important parts of the Awards happened after the judging.
Finalists were invited to bring their physical samples to the Dscoop Vietnam Summit in Ho Chi Minh City, where the entries became part of a gallery for the wider community.
And suddenly, the Awards became something people could experience.
Attendees could pick up a piece, examine the finishing, feel the substrate, look closely at the colour and construction, and discuss how an application had been produced.
Printers from different countries could stand around the same sample and exchange ideas about how they might approach it differently.
That was particularly important for Dscoop.
Rather than keeping the best work behind the doors of a judging room, the Awards created an opportunity for that work to become a learning resource for the community.
Finalists generously brought samples with them from across APJ, sometimes travelling with boxes of print, so that fellow members could experience their work firsthand.
The result was not simply an awards display. It became a place for conversations, questions and new ideas.
The Community Had Its Say Too
Alongside the judged Awards, the People’s Choice Awards gave the wider Dscoop community a voice.
During the Vietnam Summit, attendees explored the physical entries and voted for the work that impressed them most across Commercial Print, Labels & Packaging, Innovation and Sustainability.
Seven People’s Choice Award winners were ultimately recognised under the HP Presstige Awards 2026 umbrella.
The community vote brought another dimension to the programme. The judging panel brought industry expertise and a defined set of criteria, while People’s Choice captured something different: the work that connected with fellow printers and industry peers when they encountered it in person.
Celebrating the 2026 Results
The HP Presstige Awards were presented on 28 August 2026 during the Dscoop Vietnam Summit.
From the finalist group, the judging panel recognised entries with Winner, Award for Excellence and Special Recognition honours.
The Special Recognition Awards also provided an opportunity to acknowledge work that stood out in distinctive ways, including Functional Print Creative, Legacy Reimagined, Sustainability at Scale and The Art of Celebration.

Celebrating Together in Vietnam
The HP Presstige Awards 2026 culminated in a special Awards Dinner on 28 August, held as part of the Dscoop Vietnam Summit in Ho Chi Minh City.
Printers, finalists, HP teams, partners and Dscoop members from across APJ came together for the evening, where the Winners, Awards for Excellence and Special Recognition recipients were revealed and celebrated on stage.
It was a chance to recognise the people behind the work, celebrate achievements together and bring the APJ print community together around some of the region’s most inspiring print.
More Than an Award
Perhaps the most valuable outcome of the first HP Presstige Awards was not what happened on stage.
It was what happened around the samples.
People stopped. They looked closer. They asked questions. Printers shared how something was made. Someone discovered an application they had never considered before. Another person saw a finishing technique they wanted to explore when they returned home.
That exchange is at the heart of Dscoop.
The Awards gave the community another way to share what they know, learn from one another and see what is possible with digital print.
