At ACM SPA in Italy, business development manager Vincenzo Gentile and his team are working to embed sustainability into every layer of their operation — not just as a surface initiative, but as a core business strategy. Based in Italy and rooted in offset and digital print production, the company is implementing solar-powered infrastructure, reducing power consumption, and educating both clients and employees on sustainable practices.
In this interview, Vincenzo explains that ACM is targeting 80% of its energy to come from solar panels by 2028, part of a broader plan to minimize waste and maximize efficiency through smarter technology and streamlined processes. “Our project is to have all our consumption fueled from solar panels,” he said.
Educating clients about the real impact of sustainable print production remains a challenge, especially when cost concerns arise. To address this, Vincenzo and his teammates are planning in-person events at ACM to showcase new technology, highlight environmental initiatives, and demonstrate how sustainability benefits clients' own reputations and values.
As a first-time Edge attendee, he also emphasizes the value of community in accelerating learning and avoiding missteps as the company expands its digital print capabilities.
