When printers think about what keeps their presses productive, cooling systems might not be the first thing that comes to mind. But as printing equipment operates at higher speeds, controlling heat becomes essential to maintaining consistent performance. Excess heat can affect ink viscosity, compromise print quality, increase ink consumption, and accelerate equipment wear. That's where ef cooling comes in. The Swiss company develops industrial cooling solutions that help stabilize press temperatures, protect production quality, and support reliable operation.
In a conversation at Edge Slovenia, Vincent Abert explains just how much depends on that technology. The consequences of a faulty cooling system can extend beyond the press itself, he notes, potentially bringing connected laminating, finishing, and cutting equipment to a stop. ef cooling brings decades of experience to this challenge: Vincent says the company has manufactured cooling equipment for 64 years, worked with HP for 13 years, and installed more than 4,000 chillers alongside HP presses.
He's been attending Dscoop events since 2015, traveling to gatherings in Europe, the United States, and Asia. Unlike sprawling trade exhibitions where customers and partners may be scattered across different halls, he appreciates the opportunity to connect directly with people throughout the HP Industrial Print ecosystem. "It's like a big family" where familiar faces reconnect, important conversations happen, and partnerships continue to grow, he says.
