A Conversation That Cuts Deep: PTSD, Trauma & the Fight to Be OK

The trauma doesn’t end when the moment passes. It lingers. It reshapes how we think, how we connect, how we show up — often unnoticed, but always present. That’s why She*t for Brains exists. Co-founders Jon Bailey (Precision Proco), Jessica DeCola (GPA), Chris Minn (Digital Ink), and Dave Rosendahl (MindFire) have built an unfiltered space where the print industry can finally speak the truth about mental health, burnout, grief, and all the messy parts we’re told to keep quiet. This isn’t the beginning — it’s the next chapter in a movement that refuses to look away.

Join us for the next She*t for Brains Live Session on Tuesday, August 26th, where we’ll unpack the devastating and often invisible impact of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) — on individuals, families, friendships, and the everyday spaces we move through.

The myth that PTSD only affects military personnel? It’s not just wrong — it’s harmful. It keeps people silent when they need support. The truth is, trauma doesn’t care what industry you work in. And in print, the pressure has been building for years.  Post-COVID, our industry has weathered wave after wave: supply chain meltdowns, price hikes, shrinking budgets, layoffs, and nonstop deadlines. For many, this hasn’t just been exhausting — it’s been traumatic.

This session will feature a powerful lineup:

  1. Rayell Grayson, LCPC, founder of Head Heart Therapy, whose work specializing in complex PTSD and trauma has helped countless individuals find their way forward with compassion and clarity. Rayell will bring her deep clinical insight and grounding presence to a topic that affects far too many — but is too rarely discussed with honesty.
  2. Buddy Kramber, of the industry leading The Bernard Group, who will bravely share his personal journey through trauma — and the resilience, support, and vulnerability it took to begin his road to wellness. His story is a reminder that healing isn’t linear — and it’s never something we do alone.

This isn’t easy content — but that’s the point. We need more rooms where the hard conversations happen. We built She*t for Brains to be one of them.

Hosted by the co-founders of SFB, this is more than a talk. It’s a space. A spark. A community where mental health is met with raw honesty, curiosity, and a refusal to look away.

Don’t miss it. Bring your questions. Bring your heart. Bring your She*t.
