A simple customer request inspired an innovation that is changing how wedding albums are presented and transported. In this article, Bhagvanji Domadiya shares how his team transformed the idea of a rolling trolley into a customizable product that has generated strong customer interest and opened new possibilities for the wedding album industry.

The wedding album industry has continuously evolved with new designs and presentation styles. Among these innovations, the introduction of the trolley concept stands out as a unique and practical advancement. While traditional album boxes have long been used for storage and presentation, the trolley offers a modern solution that combines functionality, mobility, and aesthetics.
The origin of this idea is rooted in a real customer requirement. A client once approached us with a need for a customized box to carry furniture catalogues. His primary concern was convenience — he wanted a solution that would allow easy transportation from one place to another. Coincidentally, during the same time, another visitor arrived carrying a travel trolley bag. Observing this, the customer suggested the idea of creating a similar trolley-based solution for his catalogues. This simple yet innovative thought became the foundation of a new product concept.

Building the First Trolley

The initial phase involved planning and sourcing the necessary components such as wheels, trolley handles, and support structures. However, finding suitable materials that matched our specific requirements proved to be a challenge. Multiple visits to travel bag manufacturing shops and suppliers did not yield the desired results. Eventually, with the assistance of the same customer who provided viable options for wheels and handles, we were able to move forward with production.

The development process was not without difficulties. Several challenges arose during manufacturing, including design adjustments and material wastage. Despite these obstacles, our team remained committed and successfully produced the first trolley, designed specifically for carrying furniture catalogues.
Following the success of this initial product, we began to explore its potential application within our own industry. This led to the idea of adapting the trolley concept for wedding albums. With a renewed approach, we started designing a trolley tailored to meet the aesthetic and functional requirements of album presentation.
After extensive research and material sourcing, we identified high-quality 360-degree rotating wheels and durable trolley handles that met our standards. Using these components, we developed our first wedding album trolley, capable of accommodating four albums along with mini books and calendars.

A Successful Launch and Growing Demand

The product was officially launched at the Gandhinagar Exhibition in 2024. The response from customers and industry professionals was overwhelmingly positive. The trolley attracted significant attention due to its innovative design and practical usability, marking a new trend in album presentation.

Building on this success, we created a promotional Instagram reel to showcase the product. Released during the Diwali season, the reel gained substantial traction, resulting in high engagement, increased visibility, and a surge in customer inquiries.
As demand grew, we began offering customized trolley solutions based on client requirements. Orders were received for various configurations, including trolleys designed to carry 3, 5, 8, and even up to 10 albums.
Continuing our innovation journey, we introduced a new trolley design at the Gandhinagar Exhibition in 2025. This version was more compact and specifically designed to hold two albums, including a family album and a pendrive box, further expanding the product range.
I believe the trolley represents a significant step forward in the wedding album industry. It not only enhances the presentation of albums, but also improves ease of transportation, making it a valuable addition for both businesses and customers. This innovation reflects how a simple idea, driven by customer need, can evolve into a successful and impactful product.
