"The idea was to create something that is pleasing... something fun, and something that is hard to replace," says Hirokazu Obora, Executive Managing Director. He describes key moves Obora Printing has made over the last 20 years (including installing its first HP Indigo 5500 Digital Press in 2011 to launch the company into digital print) and how the company plans to keep growing. Dan Niblo and Jeff Searson started The Packaging Lab with a vision to make a difference in the packaging industry. No, that word isn't because SG360 is one of the five largest direct mail printers in the United States. And it's not because the plant I visited was enormous — like football fields upon football fields large (or, if you prefer, soccer pitches upon soccer pitches). It's because the first thing I saw when I walked up to the facility was an 8-foot tall gorilla sitting out front. It was a prop left over from a past campaign SG360 handled for one of its clients. Regardless, it was memorable. So was my entire visit to this impressive company. I think this video is a great representation of the energy and commitment I felt during my visit.

As Cristian explains in the video, Mayapack aims to create experiences derived from the labels it makes. The company's digital division operates the HP Indigo 20000 Digital Press and the HP 6800 Digital Press. Go to the 4:20 mark of the virtual tour to see a range of products printed by Mayapack.
