Start 2025 on a transformative path with an essential mental health workshop led by two voices changing the conversation around men's wellness.
Following the resounding success of its two previous sessions, the She*t for Brains initiative proudly announces its third virtual event: The Man Up / Man Down Toolkit to Break Through the January Blues.
Join mental health advocates Volker Ballueder and David Pawsey, co-hosts of the Man Up / Man Down podcast, for this interactive workshop on Monday, January 20, 2025, at 11 am EST / 4 pm GMT. This powerful discussion and toolkit resonates far beyond its core audience of middle-aged men, offering transformative insights for everyone.
Transform your mental well-being this January
Blue Monday, often considered the most challenging day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, marks the peak of the January blues. The term has been used to describe the third Monday in January as "the most depressing day of the year."
While Blue Monday doesn’t necessarily have any scientific data to suggest it is the most depressing day of the year, the reality is that many of us can feel down at this time of year.
Our New Year's resolutions may have started to fail, we're feeling the financial pinch after Christmas spending and generally, we may feel the monotony of everyday life along with bad weather and dark nights
Keeping this in mind, She*t for Brains’ upcoming session aims to address critical mental health concerns that impact individuals personally and professionally, while equipping participants with actionable tools to recognize and respond to the early warning signs of declining mental well-being.
Why this webinar is a can’t miss event
In this highly interactive workshop, Volker Ballueder and David Pawsey will guide participants through a series of crucial topics, including:
- Master the art of spotting mental health warning signs before they escalate
- Break free from the “tough it out” mindset that holds so many men back
- Overcome the stigma through normalizing conversations, the power of vulnerability and leveraging support systems
- Learn about practical tools for mental health, including self-care practices like exercise, mindfulness, sleep hygiene and proper nutrition
- Get actionable tips on creating safe spaces, practicing active listening and encouraging meaningful dialogue
The session will blend expert-led insights with audience participation, ensuring attendees gain practical strategies and a deeper understanding of how mental health challenges manifest and can be addressed.
Let’s get honest about mental health
Chris Minn, Head of Global Marketing at Infigo and She*t for Brains Co-founder, commented: “Our mission is to create a community where honest conversations about mental health are not only accepted but encouraged. This third session is particularly timely as we approach Blue Monday — a day where many struggle to cope with the pressures of the new year. Partnering with Volker and David allows us to provide real tools to help individuals and businesses navigate these challenges.”
The movement continues
The She*t for Brains initiative continues to gain strong support from the Dscoop community and plans to extend its impact at Dscoop Edge Long Beach in May 2025. The event will feature in-person sessions, a wellness event, and a dedicated Wellness Oasis to facilitate connection, collaboration and healing.
