TRANSCRIPT

Dscoop's new "Ask an Expert" series is built around a simple idea: When HP Indigo users have direct access to the people who know the platform inside and out, problems get solved faster, workflows get cleaner and teams get more confident. This kickoff session, led by HP's Melinda Monti and Cecilia Santos, set the tone with a hands-on walk-through of where to go for answers, how to self-serve better and how to make PrintOS work harder for you.

A big focus was navigation and enablement. The presenters pointed attendees to the HP PrintOS Knowledge Zone and showed how to use it to find training videos, manuals, installers and “quick links” documents that can speed up onboarding for new team members.

From there, the session got into print quality and productivity realities, including how color can drift when the process basics are not locked in. Melinda and Cecilia reinforced the value of consistent calibration, correct targets and using the right reference standards when you are trying to hit brand expectations. The broader takeaway for Dscoop members was that strong color management protects efficiency, reduces reruns and keeps customer confidence high.

The group also explored Print Beat https://developers.hp.com/printbeat-api-printos-hp-indigo-integration-hub/doc/getting-started-printos-print-beat-api and the value of press data when you’re trying to reduce waste and tighten up output. Melinda and Cecilia walked through ways to review job history, identify repeat failures, flag jobs with too many print attempts and spot jobs that took longer than their expected net print time. That kind of visibility helps teams move from guessing to pattern-spotting, then from pattern-spotting to real process improvements.

This "Ask and Expert" series kickoff was also a reminder of what makes Dscoop valuable: peer-driven learning paired with direct access to deep expertise. If you run Indigo production, support it or manage it, Ask an Expert is designed to help you run smarter, faster, and with fewer “we’ll figure it out later” moments.
