From First-Time Attendee to Full-On Advocate

When Sarah Gossett, CEO of Nova Brand Projection, attended Edge Long Beach for the first time, she wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. In this conversation with Deborah Corn, intergalactic ambassador to the Printerverse at Print Media Centre and executive director of Girls Who Print, Sarah shares how quickly that uncertainty turned into clarity.

What stood out most was the openness of the community — leaders willing to share ideas, challenges and practical solutions without hesitation.

Sarah describes the experience as energizing and surprisingly personal. From education sessions to spontaneous hallway conversations, she found herself surrounded by peers navigating many of the same challenges. The accessibility of speakers, the willingness of fellow attendees to compare notes and the sense that no one was guarding “secret sauce” insights made a lasting impression. For her, the biggest takeaway was how collaborative the Dscoop community feels in person.

She also reflects on the confidence boost that comes from stepping outside your day-to-day environment. Being immersed in new ideas, new technologies and new perspectives helped her return home with renewed focus and tangible next steps.
